With things as bad as they are in the world today such as the war on terrorism and the illegal immigration issue at hand. You would think that people would have better things to do than squabble over some rich spoiled brats attempt to escape justice.
So Paris Hilton! This article is not about you!

I find the little things in life are a lot more interesting and even
amusing. take for instance, the little boy who recently found a one in a million "Blue eyed Cicada". (Cicadas eyes are red)

Out here in the midwest, we are in the middle of the 17 year cicada infestation. Some areas in different states are more populated with them, and then there are places with in a mile away from the infestation, that have no cicadas at all. But any how , about the the Blue eyed Cicada and the six year old boy from Illinios who discovered it.

This was no accident! After learning about this rare bug in a kindergarten class. He went home equipped with this knowlege and went out side to stalk the elusive creature. I find that this kind of thought process at such an early age to be nothing short of brilliance. It was no miracle that this young determined Entomologist actually discovered one and captured it. I can tell you that this young fellow is well on his way to first grade.

This is the kind of person who deserves the spotlite, even if for a little while, Because a cicadas life span is rather short and when the bug dies its eyes turn black. The novelty is soon gone except for the fond memories of their ever present synchronous whining in the middle of that hot summer day when Mr.Old Blue Eyed Cicada had appeared. Much to the amazement of one six year old boy who had set out on a mission to catch the rare Blue eyed Cicada and succeeded dispite the million to one odds. I think it's probably because a six year old doesn't understand that most people in their right minds would never attempt such a feat.So in reality the odds were in his favor, and for the fact, that he was lacking any doubt about his abilities. He went out and did exactly what he had planned to do. All I can say is,This is the kind of inspiration that a person needs to get their priorities in order... and quit buying lottery tickets!
.
Now I hope that this isn't some kind of prank ,like the eleven year old kid who supposedly killed a giant wild boar in Alabama. As it turned out it was a docile farm raised pet.

Yes,I hope that this little bug snatcher is the genuine article and not another fraud. I would like to think that he didn't just get frustrated after a long and fruitless hunt. Only to decide to cook up a plot,to paint the bugs eyes blue, just to gain some notoriaty. That would be sad. But, that would make this kid even smarter than what I had originaly thought.
                                                                                               eddword
I think that today is a good day to start a new slant on blogging and try and make some sense out of it all. What ever that may be. I have decided to give up blogging and to start writing.
